Our festive bus will be spreading holiday cheer on a different route every day in the month of December, so stay tuned…we’ll be dropping fun hints throughout the month to help you catch it!

And that’s not all…
If the Christmas Direct Access Bus arrives at your pickup or drop-off location, your ride is fare-free too!

No Bus Service will be provided on Thursday, November 27, 2025, in observance of Thanksgiving Day. VVTA offices in Hesperia and Barstow will also be closed. All offices and Bus Services will reopen and resume normal operations on Friday, November 28th.

Victor Valley Transit is partnering with our friends at High Desert Second Chance for our 5th Annual “Stuff the Bus” weekend taking place December 6^th and 7^th, 2025, at all area Walmart stores in the Victor Valley! Please help us ensure every child in the High Desert has something to open this holiday season by donating a new, unwrapped toy for ages 0-17, and help us Stuff the Victor Valley Transit Bus and give something more than a present this Christmas, but a gift of Hope!

Barstow, CA — Victor Valley Transit Authority (VVTA) would like to inform our riders that on Wednesday, October 29, 2025, Routes 1, 2, 3, 6, 15, 27, 28, and 29 will be temporarily relocated to E. Buena Vista & Portales (near the Barstow Library) due to the City of Barstow’s annual Trunk or Treat event taking place at City Hall.

The temporary relocation will be in effect all day, from the beginning to the end of service, to ensure safety and accessibility during the event, which will run from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM.

VVTA encourages riders to plan ahead and allow extra travel time. Regular service to City Hall will resume on Thursday, October 30, 2025.

Effective Saturday, October 11, 2025, Route 1 will be on detour due to the Barstow Car Show. The detour will be in effect from the beginning of service until the end of service.

During this time, the following bus stops will not be served:

Bus Stop #30114 – Hutchinson St WB & N 1st Ave – 1 Eastbound
Bus Stop #30115 – Hutchinson St EB & N 1st Ave – 1 Westbound

Normal service is expected to resume after the event concludes.

Route 42 Detour – Apple Valley Air and Car Show

VVTA would like to inform our passengers that Route 42 will be on detour on Saturday, October 11, 2025, due to the Apple Valley Air Show.

The detour will be in effect from the start of service until 3:00 PM. During this time, stops north of Dale Evans Parkway to Navajo & Johnson will not be served.

Route 31 Detour – Victorville Fall Festival
Effective Date: Saturday, October 4, 2025

Due to the Victorville Fall Festival on Civic Drive, Route 31 will be on detour from the beginning of service until the end of service.

Service Alert: Happy Trails Parade Detour in Apple Valley

On Saturday, September 13, 2025, from the beginning of service until the end of service, several VVTA routes will not be able to serve the Apple Valley Post Office area due to the Happy Trails Parade, Street Fair, & Car Show.

The following bus stops will not be in service:

• Bus Stop #20000 – Apple Valley Post Office (Routes 40, 41, 43, 47, 49)
• Bus Stop #20088 – Central Rd SB & Shawnee Rd (Routes 23, 43, 47)
• Bus Stop #20129 – Outer Hwy 18 North & Navajo Rd (Route 41)
• Bus Stop #20140 – Navajo Rd SB & Powhatan Rd (Routes 40, 41, 49)
• Bus Stop #20153 – Powhatan Rd EB & Navajo Rd (Routes 40, 41, 43, 47, 49)
• Bus Stop #20190 – Yucca Loma Rd & Navajo Rd (Route 49)
• Bus Stop #20270 – Quinnault Rd NB & PO Driveway (Route 23)

Riders should plan ahead and expect minor delays in the Apple Valley area during this event.
