Victor Valley Transit routes have distinct fares depending on the type of route you ride. Fares tables are available on each individual route page, as well as this page.

Electronic Fare Payment

The UMO system allows passengers to purchase fare products online and ride VVTA buses using a smart card or mobile app. The hassle-free payment options streamline the boarding process by eliminating the need for passengers to fumble around for cash and loose change while paying fare when boarding the bus. Rider Categories

31-Day PassThe 31-Day Pass is acceptable as fare for 31 days, beginning the first day it is used in farebox.

FARE & PASS USAGE

Fare due when boarding. Exact change required. Pennies not accepted. Fare good for single direction trip only. Discount & Student Passes require presentation of photo I.D. when boarding; no refunds or replacements if passes are lost, stolen, damaged, or unused; passes are not transferable and only valid to person originally issued; use by others is fare evasion, resulting in confiscation, possible prosecution, and fines.

ADA and Senior Disabled ID Cards

To obtain a Victor Valley Transit ADA Direct Access Identification Card or a Senior Disabled Identification Card, please visit our Hesperia main office location at 17150 Smoke Tree St., Hesperia, CA 92345, Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 4:00pm

Excelsior Charter School Students

VVTA accepts valid Excelsior Charter School ID cards as fare on all VVTA Fixed and County Route Buses.

Excelsior Charter Student ID cards are valid as fare during the term (or semester) for which they were issued, which spans from the official term start date through the first week of the next term. Cards issued for the previous term are not valid as fare, unless a valid decal from the current term is attached. The VVTA Student ID does not and will not replace the Excelsior Charter Student ID cards. The VVTA Student Photo ID is a discount fare identification card available to verified students throughout VVTA’s service area. The VVTA Student Photo ID does not replace the Excelsior Charter Student ID, which are exclusive to Excelsior Charter School students.

 

Options for Youth Students

VVTA accepts valid Options for Youth Charter School ID cards (OFY) as fare on all VVTA Fixed and County Route Buses.

OFY ID cards are valid as fare during the term (or semester) for which they were issued, which spans from the official term start date through the first week of the next term. Cards issued for the previous term are not valid as fare, unless a valid decal from the current term is attached. The VVTA Student ID does not and will not replace the OFY ID cards. The VVTA Student Photo ID is a discount fare identification card available to verified students throughout VVTA’s service area. The VVTA Student Photo ID does not replace the Options for Youth Student ID, which are exclusive to Options for Youth students.

 

Victor Valley College Students

VVTA accepts valid Victor Valley College (VVC) Associated Student Body (ASB) or VVC Photo ID cards as fare on all VVTA Fixed and County Route Buses.

VVC ID cards are valid as fare during the term (or semester) for which they were issued, which spans from the official term start date through the first week of the next term. Cards issued for the previous term are not valid as fare, unless a valid decal from the current term is attached. The VVTA Student ID does not and will not replace the VVC ID cards. The VVTA Student Photo ID is a discount fare identification card available to verified students throughout VVTA’s service area. The VVTA Student Photo ID does not replace the VVC ASB or Photo ID pass cards, which are exclusive to VVC students.

 

CSUSB Students

CSUSB students, faculty, and staff are authorized to ride any Victor Valley Transit Fixed Route, County Route, and Route 15 service at no charge while utilizing their Coyote OneCard!

Once obtained, the CSUSB Coyote OneCard will be your fare, validated for the term (or semester) for which it was issued. The span begins on the official term start date through the first week of the next term (or semester). Cards issued for the previous term (or semester) will be unaccepted.

CSUSB OneCard holders may use Route 15 to travel directly from the Victor Valley Transportation Center to the Cal State University Campus and are highly encouraged to return using the “Howling Xpress.” This line departs from CSUSB at 5:35 pm straight to VVTC.

All other pickups from CSUSB will continue regular Route 15, including the San Bernardino Transit Center and Metrolink stops. VVTA also covers all of the High Desert Cities, including Victorville, Hesperia, Apple Valley, Barstow, Adelanto, Phelan, Wrightwood, and more.

For complimentary service along VVTA’s service area, the rider must simply present their Coyote OneCard to the Bus Operator.
