County Routes serve the non-incorporated regions of San Bernardino County and require County Route Fare for passengers boarding and/or alighting in the county area. Flag down bus stop service is available, since traditional bus stops may not be present. Certain routes feature Route Deviation service within 3/4 of a mile of the scheduled county route area. For route deviations, which are based on availability, reservations must be made at least two hours in advance and made no more than the day prior to pickup. Certified ADA passengers may make reservations according to their certification. Pickup and drop off is available where safe. On Victor Valley area routes, pickup and drop off is not available on dirt roads. On Barstow area routes, pickup and drop off is available on county-maintained dirt roads, pending road conditions. Drop off requests must be made to driver. Call 760-948-3030 in Victor Valley or 760-256-0311 in Barstow area for pick up reservations from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Sunday.

ROUTE 15 B-V LINK FARE
ROUTE: 15 BV Link
SThe VVTA Route 15 B-V Link features one-way fare charged per segment with two available segments: Barstow to Victor Valley, and Victor Valley to San Bernardino Valley. B-V Link fare media may be used as fare for one segment trip on B-V Link and on Fixed Route and County Route buses within six hours of purchase at no additional charge. Passengers with Route 15 fare media, including mobile, is good for one free boarding on Omnitrans or MARTA. Passengers with valid Omnitrans and MARTA fare media receive a $1.00 discount when paying B-V Link fare from stops departing San Bernardino Valley on the same day of travel. Carry-ons are limited to two packages. Dimensions are limited to 22 X 9 X 14 inches and must remain in passenger lap or under seat.

Route 200 Needles Link seating is limited. Reservations are recommended and may be scheduled from two weeks in advance to the day prior to service before 5 p.m. Needles residents may reserve curb-to-curb pick up and drop off service. A Ludlow restroom stop is available by request only. Needles Link fare media may be used as fare on Fixed Route and County Route buses on the same day of purchase at no additional charge. Connecting service to San Bernardino is available via Route 15 B-V Link at Victorville Transfer Point for an additional fare. Carry-ons are limited to tw o packages. Dimensions are limited to 22 X 9 X 14 inches and must remain in passenger lap or under seat.

NTC COMMUTER ROUTE FARE

NTC Commuter Routes are intended for those who work at Fort Irwin National Training Center (NTC). Security clearance and appropriate identification is required to access the military installation. The MEGA Pass and Military Pass may be purchased at VVTA Hesperia and Barstow City Hall using cash, credit card, or debit card. No refunds or replacements are available for lost, stolen, or unused passes. Damaged passes may be replaced at the discretion of VVTA. Single Trip Fare: The NTC Commuter Fare is available for cash purchase when boarding and is good as fare for a single, one-way trip. MEGA Monthly Pass: The NTC Commuter MEGA Monthly Pass may be used as fare for the calendar month it is purchased. The MEGA Pass is intended for non-Department of Defense (DoD) employees. The MEGA Pass is good as fare on all Fixed and County Routes. Direct Access and route deviations are excluded. The MEGA Pass features a half-priced discount fare, which is available to qualified Senior (60 years and older), Disabled, and Medicare (SDM) passengers. Identification is required when purchasing pass and boarding bus. Military Monthly Pass: The NTC Commuter Military Monthly Pass may be used as fare for the calendar month it is purchased and only available to DoD employees who qualify for the Mass Transportation Benefit Program (MTBP). The MTBP debit card is the only form of payment accepted. Sale begins on the 15th of the preceding month and ends on the 15th of month for which it is issued. The Military Pass is good as fare on all Fixed and County Routes and the Route 15 B-V Link. Direct Access and route deviations are excluded. DoD workers who are eligible may choose to sign up for a monthly auto-payment plan, using their DoD-issued MTBP debit card.

DIRECT ACCESS FARE
DETAILS: Direct Access (ADA Paratransit)
Service is provided within a two-mile radius of fixed route service and consists of three fare zones. Zone 1 is the area within 0.75-mile of fixed route service. Zone 2 is the area between 0.75- to 1.5-miles. Zone 3 is the area between 1.5- to 2-miles. A trip between any of the three zones that surround the VVTA Fixed Route System will be charged the greater rate.

Direct Access Coupon Book $40
Direct Access Coupons may only be used by certified Direct Access clients for use on Direct Access services and Routes (21, 22, 23, 24, 28, 29, 40, 47, 54, 66), which provide supplemental service available on Deviation Routes that do not offer Direct Access service within the deviation area. Deviation Fare is not required for certified Direct Access clients with reservations. Clients certified to have a Personal Care Assistant (PCA) may be accompanied by a PCA on Direct Access for free. A PCA must pay fare on other transit services.

VVC STUDENTS
VVTA accepts valid Victor Valley College (VVC) Associated Student Body (ASB) or VVC Photo ID cards as fare on all VVTA Fixed and County Route buses. VVC ID cards are valid as fare during the term (or semester) for which they were issued, which spans from the official term start date through the first week of the next term. Cards issued for the previous term are not valid as fare, unless a valid decal from the current term is attached. The VVTA Student ID does not and will not replace the VVC ID cards. The VVTA Student Photo ID is a discount fare identification card available to verified students throughout VVTA’s service area. The VVTA Student Photo ID does not replace the VVC ASB or Photo ID pass cards, which are exclusive to VVC students.

Fare due when boarding. Exact change required. Pennies not accepted. Fare good for single direction trip only. Discount & Student Passes require presentation of photo I.D. when boarding; no refunds or replacements if passes are lost, stolen, damaged, or unused; passes are not transferable and only valid to person originally issued; use by others is fare evasion, resulting in confiscation, possible prosecution, and fines.
