Effective Saturday, October 11, 2025, Route 1 will be on detour due to the Barstow Car Show. The detour will be in effect from the beginning of service until the end of service.

During this time, the following bus stops will not be served:

Bus Stop #30050 – N 1st Ave SB & Cozy Ave – 1 Eastbound
Bus Stop #30051 – N 1st Ave NB & White St – 1 Westbound
Bus Stop #30053 – N 2nd Ave NB & Cozy Ave – 1 Eastbound
Bus Stop #30054 – N 2nd Ave SB & Cozy Ave – 1 Westbound
Bus Stop #30114 – Hutchinson St WB & N 1st Ave – 1 Eastbound
Bus Stop #30115 – Hutchinson St EB & N 1st Ave – 1 Westbound

Normal service is expected to resume after the event concludes.

Route 42 Detour – Apple Valley Air and Car Show

VVTA would like to inform our passengers that Route 42 will be on detour on Saturday, October 11, 2025, due to the Apple Valley Air Show.

The detour will be in effect from the start of service until 3:00 PM. During this time, stops north of Dale Evans Parkway to Navajo & Johnson will not be served.

Route 31 Detour – Victorville Fall Festival
Effective Date: Saturday, October 4, 2025

Due to the Victorville Fall Festival on Civic Drive, Route 31 will be on detour from the beginning of service until the end of service.

Service Alert: Happy Trails Parade Detour in Apple Valley

On Saturday, September 13, 2025, from the beginning of service until the end of service, several VVTA routes will not be able to serve the Apple Valley Post Office area due to the Happy Trails Parade, Street Fair, & Car Show.

The following bus stops will not be in service:

• Bus Stop #20000 – Apple Valley Post Office (Routes 40, 41, 43, 47, 49)
• Bus Stop #20088 – Central Rd SB & Shawnee Rd (Routes 23, 43, 47)
• Bus Stop #20129 – Outer Hwy 18 North & Navajo Rd (Route 41)
• Bus Stop #20140 – Navajo Rd SB & Powhatan Rd (Routes 40, 41, 49)
• Bus Stop #20153 – Powhatan Rd EB & Navajo Rd (Routes 40, 41, 43, 47, 49)
• Bus Stop #20190 – Yucca Loma Rd & Navajo Rd (Route 49)
• Bus Stop #20270 – Quinnault Rd NB & PO Driveway (Route 23)

Riders should plan ahead and expect minor delays in the Apple Valley area during this event.

Bus Closure Announced for Route 49

The safety of our bus operators, passengers and the community are paramount to VVTA. As a result, effective Tuesday, September 2, 2025, two bus stops on Route 49 will be permanently discontinued: 

Bus Stop #20265 Westbound at Yucca Loma Rd & Havasu Rd

Bus Stop #20266 Eastbound at Yucca Loma Rd & Havasu Rd

We apologize for any inconvenience. 

VVTA will be closed on Labor Day, Monday, September 1, 2025.
There will be no bus service, and our administrative office will also be closed. Regular service and office hours will resume on Tuesday, September 2, 2025.

Victor Valley Transit is excited to offer Firecracker Express shuttle service for Barstow residents and visitors heading to the 28th Annual Barstow Fireworks Show Spectacular on Friday, July 4th at the Robert A. Sessions Memorial Sportspark. This fun-filled community event runs from 5:00 PM till, the dazzling fireworks display set to begin at 9:00 PM. Attendees can enjoy live music, delicious food trucks, a beer garden, and family-friendly activities, including jumpers and water slides for the kids.

VVTA will provide free shuttle service from two convenient locations:

• Muriel Dr. & Condor St. – Shuttle departs beginning at 5:00 PM; return trip at 9:30 PM.
• Barstow College (2700 Barstow Rd) – Shuttle departs beginning at 5:00 PM; return service at 9:30 PM, with on-request pickups available from 7:45 PM to 9:30 PM.
