VVTA joins the Southern California transit community in mourning the tragic passing of Culver City Bus Operator Bruce Rodriguez.

Bruce dedicated 12 years to serving his community as a transit operator. His loss is a painful reminder that behind every bus, every route, and every trip is a person- someone with a family waiting for them at home and a community depending on them.

Transit agencies may serve different cities and regions, but those who work in public transportation share a special connection. When we lose one of our own, that loss is felt far beyond a single agency.

We extend our heartfelt condolences to Bruce’s wife Sandy, his two young sons, his family and friends, and his colleagues throughout Culver CityBus and the City of Culver City.

A GoFundMe has been established to help Bruce’s family with memorial expenses and provide support for his wife and children during the difficult days ahead.
