Introduction

Beginning Oct 6th, 2024 VVTA will have new and revised Bus Routes for our great High Desert Communities! As communities continue to grow, these service changes will enhance the VVTA network in order to improve performance of the service and to address the evolving needs in the Barstow and Victor Valley regions.

VVTA partnered with TMD (Transportation Management & Design, Inc.), to conduct a comprehensive review of our entire system network. Together, we engaged with a broad range of community members, including organization leaders, analyzed demographic growth, conducted passenger outreach through surveys and drop-in sessions at our Transfer Hubs, and held stakeholder meetings with cities, towns, and our dedicated bus operators.

Route 1

Extends route to Valley Street and Armory Road to provide service to areas that are not currently served. Discontinues deviation service to River­side Drive. Riverside Drive will be replaced by new Route 27 (see below). Adjusted running times and timepoints.

Route 2

Extends route West to serve Armory Rd, Agarita Ave, and Rimrock Rd, Discontinues service on Barstow Rd between Armory Rd and Rimrock Rd. Adjusted running times and timepoints.

Route 3

Discontinues service to the L Street Park & Ride. Adjusted running times and timepoints.

Route 6

Extends to Barstow Heights to provide service to areas that are not currently served. Discontinues service to Barstow College, Center Street and Upton Drive to improve travel times. Adjusted running times and timepoints.

NEW! Route 20

Previously Route 21P. Two-way service between Super Target and Pinon Hills via Bear Valley, Baldy Mesa, and Phelan Rd via Victor Valley Mall.

New! Route 21

Previously Route 21W. Two-way service between Super Target and Wrightwood via Main St and Phelan Rd.

Route 22

Schedule changes to reduce transfer wait times with eastbound Route 28 in Helendale. Provides service to the Victorville Wellness Center by request only at no charge.

Route 23

Route will now end at Lucerne Valley Market. Service on Highland Ave, Crystal Creek Rd, Emerald Rd, Mesa Ave, Foothill Rd, Trade Post Rd, Camp Rock Rd, Sutter Rd, and Visalia Ave and to Moss Mobile Home Park will be provided by deviation request only. There will be no charge for these deviations.

New! Route 27

New route connecting Barstow and Helendale to allow for faster travel times. New service to Irwin Estates. Replaces Route 1 deviation service to Riverside Drive.
Weekdays: Frequency of service every 2 hours. Weekends: Four round trips each day.

Route 28

Two-way service from Barstow to Helendale along National Trails Highway. Schedule changes to reduce transfer wait times with southbound Route 22 in Helendale. Discontinues service to Hinkley, replaced by new Route 27. Weekdays: Frequency of service every 2 hours. Weekends: Four round trips each day.

Route 31

Rerouted off of 15 Freeway to operate along 7th St, Kentwood, Civic, Seneca, Cobalt, Dos Palmas, and Highway 395. Discontinues service along Hook Blvd, El Evado, Amethyst, and Palmdale Rd between Amethyst and Highway 395. Adjusted running times and timepoints.

Route 32

Reroutes via Gateway between Air Expressway and Bartlett. Discontinues service on Adelanto Rd between Air Expressway and Bartlett. Adjusted running times and timepoints.

Route 33

Discontinues service on Mojave, Aster, and Victor. Adjusted running times and timepoints.
Sundays: Adjusted frequency of service to every 60 minutes. Remove interlining with Route 54.

Route 41

Reroutes eastbound trips to serve shopping center by Rancherias. Route eastbound trip to serve Bass Hill and Dale Evans Pkwy. Discontinues service on Highway 18 between Bass Hill and Dale Evans Pkwy. Reroutes westbound trips to serve Pine Ridge and Jicarilla to Outer Highway 18. Adjusted running times and timepoints.

Route 42

Reroutes to operate on Highway 18, Rancherias, Zuni, Dale Evans Pkwy, Corwin, Dakota, Altadena, and Navajo to serve the Big Lots Distribution Center. Discontinues service on Corwin Rd, Waalew Rd, and Dale Evans Pkwy between Corwin and Lafayette. Adjusted running times and timepoints.

Route 47

Reroutes along Pahute between Kiowa and Navajo northbound. Reroutes along Highway 18, Central, and Pahute southbound. Discontinues service on Kiowa between Pahute and Yucca Loma, and Yucca Loma between Kiowa and Navajo. Service along Yucca Loma will be provided by new Route 49. Adjusted running times and timepoints.
Sundays: Adjusts frequency of service to approximately every 60 minutes. Removes interlining with Route 40.

New! Route 49

New route between Apple Valley Post Office and Victor Valley Mall via Yucca Loma, Yates, Green Tree, Hesperia Rd, Jasmine, 2nd, Silica, Arrowhead, Nisqualli, and Amethyst. Frequency of service every 60 minutes.

Route 50

Service restructured in Victorville with Route 49 and 55 serving areas that are no longer served by Route 50. Rerouted along Hesperia Rd, Nisqualli, 7th, Green Tree, Rodeo, Victor, S Mojave, and 7th. Discontinued service on Bear Valley Road between Hesperia Rd and 2nd, on 2nd between Bear Valley and Silica, on Silica between 2nd and 7th, on 7th between Silica and Nisqualli, on Green Tree between Rodeo and Hesperia Rd, on Hesperia Rd between Green Tree and Verde, along 11th, and on B St between 11th and 7th. Portions replaced by Route 56. Adjust running times and timepoints.

Route 52

Reroutes off of 15 Freeway to serve 6th St, Mojave Dr, and Roy Rogers Dr. Discontinues service between Mojave & Amargosa to Seneca & El Evado, and on Armagosa. Two-way service on La Mesa, Amethyst, and Bear Valley. Adjusted running times and timepoints.
Weekends: Adjusts frequency of service to approximately every 105-115 minutes.

Route 53

Discontinues service on Amargosa and Desert Escape through Walmart. Adjusted running times and timepoints.

Route 55

Streamlined for VVC Students! Reroutes to serve Ridgecrest, Yates/Green Tree, and Hesperia Rd. Discontinues service on Bear Valley, Hesperia Rd between Bear Valley Rd and Nisqualli, 3rd, Rodeo, Victor, S. Mojave Dr and 7th St. Portions replaced by Route 50. Adjusted running times and timepoints.
Weekdays: Adjusts frequency of service to approximately every 30 minutes.

Route 56

Northbound: Rerouted to serve Valley Center, Park Ave, Dos Palmas, Amargosa, Nisqualli, Mariposa, Seneca, Hesperia Rd, Verde, 11th, B St. Southbound: Rerouted to serve B St, 11th, Verde St., Hesperia Rd, and Seneca Rd. Adjusted running times and timepoints. Passengers traveling along 7th Street will now use Route 31 for their travel needs.

Route 66

Discontinues service on Choiceana Ave, Yucca St, Quincy Ave, and Rock Springs Rd. Adjusted running times and timepoints. Adjusts frequency of service to approximately every 60 minutes. Removes interlining with Route 25.
