Routes 1-68: Modified Service

Change is here for Route 66

Starting on Sunday, September 1, 2019, route 66 will have two new stops. The alignment of Route 66 will effect areas north of Main St. Temporary A-frames have been installed to mark the stop. The first stop is on Choiceana Ave Stop I.D. #40259 just before the right turn to Yucca St. The other is on Quincy St. Stop I.D. # 20260 just about mid-block. The map below will provide you a visual location of the two new stops. Deviation rules and fares will not change.

 

VVC 2019 Summer and Fall Photo ID Cards now accepted as VVTA fare

Effective immediately, VVTA will accept Victor Valley College (VVC) Summer 2019 and Fall 2019 Photo ID and Associated Student Body (ASB) cards as free fare on all VVTA Fixed and County Route buses. The Fall 2019 cards may also feature “SUMMER” decals, which are not required to board free.

VVTA will continue accepting valid 2018 Fall VVC Photo ID and ASB cards with the required white-colored “SPRING” semester decal as free fare through the first week of the Fall 2019 semester, ending Friday, August 30. Thereafter, 2018 VVC cards will not be accepted as free fare.

Beginning June 30, 2019, Barstow Community College (BCC) Photo ID and Associated Student Body (ASB) cards will no longer be accepted as free fare but will remain eligible for the VVTA Student discount fare. Also, at this time, BCC and VVC ID cards will no longer be accepted as free fare on VVTA Route 15 B-V Link.
