Victor Valley College routes detour Friday, June 9

All VVTA routes serving Victor Valley College will be on detour Friday, June 9 due to the graduation ceremony. No VVC campus bus stops will be served during this time. Alternatively, passengers may use the temporary bus stops available on Francesca Road west of Spring Valley Lake Road.

Route 45 Victorville returns to regular route June 7; long-term construction detour continues June 30 through July 10

VVTA Route 45 in Victorville temporarily returns to regular route beginning Wednesday, June 7, 2017. The route will again return to its long-term construction detour Friday, June 30 and will not serve bus stops on Nisqualli Road and Hesperia Road. During the detour, passengers may access various marked bus stops along the detour route. Following its construction detour, route 45 is expected to return to regular route again on Monday, July 10.

Route 15 BV Link detours in Fontana on Saturday, June 3, 2017

VVTA Route 15 B-V Link in Fontana will detour during its first run Saturday, June 3 due to the Fontana Days Run and Parade on Sierra Avenue. Two bus stops will be missed. The scheduled 9:30 a.m. stop at Kaiser Permanente Fontana Medical Center, and the scheduled 9:40 a.m. stop at Fontana Metrolink will be missed. Regular service will resume thereafter.

Hesperia, Calif. (May 25, 2017) – Victor Valley Transit Authority was awarded Outstanding Coordination Effort Award of the Year by the California Association for Coordinated Transportation (CalACT), the largest state transit association in the United States. The award was presented at the CalACT 2017 Spring Conference and Expo in Lake Tahoe, California CalACT’s annual awards event where the association honors transit agencies that has made positive contributions to transportation and other CalACT members. Accepting the award was VVTA CTSA Director, Aaron Moore.

VVTA services will not operate Memorial Day on Monday, May 29, 2017

Victor Valley Transit Authority services will not operate for the Memorial Day national holiday on Monday, May 29. All transit and administrative services will not be available during this time.

Victorville Transportation Center parking access limited from Thursday May 18 through June 2017

Due to a landscape improvement project, Victorville Transportation Center parking access will be limited from Thursday, May 18 through June 2017. Additional parking will be available east of the Greyhound building at the Amtrak parking lot. This will not affect VVTA transportation services.

Route 22 to serve Victorville Transportation Center by request only beginning Monday, April 10

Beginning Monday, April 10, 2017, due to construction and until further notice, VVTA Route 22 will only serve the Victorville Transportation Center upon request. Please call (760) 948-3030 to request to be picked up at the Transportation center at least 30 minutes in advance. If you are on the bus, you may make the request to the operator.

VVTA-issued discount ID cards must be upgraded to new photo ID by July 1, 2017

Passengers using VVTA-issued Veteran, Senior, Disabled, Medicare, Student, and Direct Access discount ID cards will require replacement by the newly-designed VVTA Photo ID Cards, beginning Saturday, July 1, 2017. The old VVTA ID cards will become obsolete at that time.

Passenger photo IDs required for discount fare beginning July 1, 2017

VVTA will require valid photo identification for all passengers requesting discount fare, beginning Saturday, July 1, 2017. VVTA passenger ID cards that do not feature photo identification will become obsolete at that time. Valid government- or school-issued photo IDs will continue to be accepted for discount fare. Excludes VVC Ram Pass.

Metrolink San Bernardino station train service unavailable until April 17, 2017

Due to construction, Metrolink service at the San Bernardino and Rialto stations will not be available until Monday, April 17, 2017. VVTA Route 15 passengers connecting to Metrolink at the San Bernardino station may use the Metrolink bus shuttle to the Fontana station to board the Metrolink train. Passengers may board the shuttle on Metrolink Way just before 3rd Street. Alternatively, VVTA Route 15 passengers may continue to the Fontana station to connect to the Metrolink train. Passenger photo IDs required beginning July 1, 2017

Victor Valley Transit Authority will require new photo identification cards for all passengers using discount passes, including Veteran, Senior, Disabled, Medicare, Student, and Direct Access, beginning Saturday, July 1, 2017. Current passenger ID cards will become obsolete at that time. Current discount pass holders may begin replacing their existing IDs on Monday, April 3, 2017. There is no replacement charge for upgrading to a new photo ID card. Passengers may begin the replacement process online at VVTA.org/pass or via email at Info@VVTA.org.
