To improve on-time system performance, Victor Valley Transit Authority will modify the bus stop lineup order at the Victorville Transfer Point on Lorene Drive and 7th Street at Costco. The realignment will take effect the morning of Monday, April 18. Heading eastbound on Lorene Drive, the stop lineup will be as follows: 52, 31, 55, 45X, 45, 41, 32, 51, 22, and 15 B-V Link.

Effective immediately, the Victor Valley Transit Authority senior discount fare, available to seniors age 60 and over with valid identification, is now available on Barstow Area Transit routes.
Effective immediately, Victor Valley Transit Authority Route 45X Express now provides non-stop service in both directions during its scheduled morning and afternoon runs Monday through Thursday. As part of a demonstration period to improve on-time performance and provide for passenger convenience, the added service remains in effect until further notice.
To improve on-time performance, Victor Valley Transit Authority will add one additional run to the Route 45X Express morning and afternoon schedules, beginning Monday, April 4, 2016.

To improve on-time performance, Victor Valley Transit Authority Route 15 B-V Link will no longer provide service to the Barstow Senior Center stop and the Main Street and 6th Street stop in Barstow. The stops will remain accessible through a transfer at the Barstow Library bus stop to Route 1 and 2. Through a transfer at the Barstow Library stop, passengers may access the Main Street and 6th Street stop using Route 1 and the Barstow Senior Center stop using Route 2.

Interviews will take place between noon and 3 p.m. at the dates and locations listed below. This effort will help plan transit services to better serve the High Desert community. Beginning March 1st, 2016, Victor Valley Transit Authority’s NTC Commuter will change Fares and Fare Media. However, March passes can be purchased beginning February 17, 2016.
It has come to the attention of the VVTA that Excelsior Students are trying to utilize their School ID’s as a Fare Card. These ID’s are to be used as ID purposes only to qualify for the student fare. The only school ID valid for fare payment is the Victor Valley College RAM Pass, and only if it is current. This is Fare Evasion and is punishable by law – per CA Penal Code §640.
Sales for the March 2016 NTC Commuter passes will not be available for purchase until Wednesday, February 17, 2016. In so much as the Congress has approved an increase in the Mass Transit Benefit Plan (MTBP) to $255 per month for 2016, the VVTA Board will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, February 16, 2016 and will subsequently vote whether or not to reinstate the NTC monthly Military Pass at a flat rate of $255.
Victor Valley Transit Authority (VVTA) is temporarily moving the Mall of Victor Valley bus stop to the Chevron Gas Station and Car Wash bus stop from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m., Wednesday, February 10, due to a San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department and mall security exercise in the parking lot. VVTA Routes 21, 44, 52, 53, and 54 will utilize the temporary stop located on west side of Mall Blvd. north of Bear Valley Road in front of the Chevron Gas Station. Passengers should allow extra time to make the connection and adhere to pedestrian guidelines.

The Coordinated Plan addresses mobility gaps for persons with disabilities, older adults and persons of low-income. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Victor Valley Transit Authority (VVTA) Board of Directors will hold a public hearing 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, February 16, 2016 during its regularly-scheduled board meeting at 17150 Smoke Tree Street, Hesperia, California 92345. The public hearing is regarding the reinstatement of the NTC Commuter fare for active military and Department of Defense (DOD) workers who receive transportation funding through the Mass Transit Benefit Plan (MTBP). As congress has set the transit fares, including the MTBP, at the same level as parking expenses, beginning January 1, 2016, the MTBP funding will increase to $255 per month. As a result, VVTA proposes reinstating the military pass fare at the $255 per month level with the monthly passes being purchased through VVTA vending machines to be placed strategically at Fort Irwin.

Effective December 12, due to the Adelanto Christmas Parade, Victor Valley Transit Authority Routes 31 and 33 will detour. The routes will depart from Palmdale & Highway 395 as follows:
Effective December 12, due to the Christ the Good Shepard Church Parade, Victor Valley Transit Authority Routes 32 and 33 will NOT service the Adelanto transfer point.
The Victor Valley Transit Authority Route 53 Victorville bus stop located on north side of Bear Valley Road in front of John’s Incredible Pizza will relocate 640 feet to the east in front of Burger King, beginning December 15. This stop should be accessible to all passengers. No other bus stops will be affected by this change.
Victor Valley Transit Authority (VVTA) will maintain a modified schedule during Christmas and New Year’s holidays. All fixed route and paratransit services begin 7 a.m. and end 8 p.m. on Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve. There are no transit services on Christmas Day and New Year’s Day. VVTA Administration office will close Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day.
Victor Valley Transit Authority (VVTA) Route 32 bus stops on the east side of Village Drive at Rancho Road and on the west side of Village Drive at Grand Triassic Lane in Victorville will close due to construction beginning Thursday, December 3. The closure is schedule to remain in effect until Wednesday, December 16.
Victor Valley Transit Authority (VVTA) bus stops on 7th Street in Victorville will close for nine hours due to maintenance beginning 9 p.m., Friday, December 4. The closure affects VVTA Route 41 and 22 bus stops.
All Victor Valley Transit Authority (VVTA) routes serving Victor Valley College (VVC) will detour from start of service to noon Monday, November 30, due to a scheduled law enforcement active shooter training exercise. VVC Upper and Lower Campus bus stops will be inaccessible. Buses will use a temporary bus stop located on the south side of Francesca Road near Spring Valley Parkway.
