Effective Thursday, March 29, 2018, VVTA Route 43 will detour from Nisqually Road. During this time, the bus stop (20144) between Pawnee Road and Chief Joseph Road will not be served. Alternatively, passengers may use the existing Stop (20145) east on Nisqually Road or the Stop (20137) west on Navajo Road. Regular service to this area will resume the following day.
Effective immediately, VVTA will accept Victor Valley College (VVC) Spring 2018 Associated Student Body (ASB) and VVC Photo ID cards as free fare on all VVTA Fixed and County Route buses. Winter 2017 Photo ID Cards, which must have a Spring 2018 Sticker attached, will continue being accepted as fare. VVC Fall 2017 Photo ID Cards will not be accepted as after February 18.
Effective January 1, 2018, VVTA will discontinue sales of the MEGA Pass Senior/Disabled/Medicare (SDM). This update, which was announced in September, will attain compliance with NTC Commuter fare structure. Existing MEGA SDM Passes will continue to be accepted as fare until March 1, 2018. Thereafter, the pass will become obsolete.
Regular VVTA Route 15 service between San Bernardino and Victorville has been suspended for the day due to fires, which has caused closures and major traffic delays on the I-15 and I-215 through the Cajon Pass.
VVTA 15 northbound from San Bernardino Transit Center will depart its 6:18 pm schedule, serving as a passenger shuttle to Victorville and also serving all Fontana stops. Arrival time in Victorville is unknown due to traffic conditions.
Due to the holidays, VVTA will not provide service Thanksgiving Day on Thursday, November 23, Christmas Day on Monday, December 25, and New Year’s Day on Monday, January 1. VVTA will operate its regular Sunday service schedule on Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve.
Due to the Victorville Veterans Day Parade, VVTA Routes 22 and 41 will detour in Victorville from start of service to noon on Saturday, November 11, 2017. The routes will not serve bus stops on 7th Street between D Street and Mojave Drive.
All VVTA bus stops at Victor Valley College (VVC) will not be served between 8:45 a.m. and 1:15 p.m., October 19, 2017, due to campus participation in the Great California Shakeout earthquake drill. During this time, passengers should use the temporary bus stop on Francesca Road west of Spring Valley Parkway, which will serve routes 42, 43, 50, 50X, 53, and 55. At 1:16 p.m., all VVC bus stops will return to regular service.
VVTA Route 1 will detour Saturday, October 14, 2017, due to the Main Street USA Car Show in Barstow. During this time, seven bus stops will not be served, which include the stops on Main Street between 1st Avenue and Barstow Road, 1st Avenue, Hutchinson Street, or 2nd Street.
Beginning October 1, 2017, the new Victor Valley Transit Authority (VVTA) Route 28 and Route 29 will operate as VVTA County Routes, featuring route deviation and flag down bus stop service within the unincorporated county area. County Route Fare is required for passengers boarding within the unincorporated county area.
VVTA will modify the bus stop lineup order at the Victor Valley College (VVC) Transfer Point, the Victorville Transfer Point, and the Barstow Library Transfer Point. The realignment takes effect Sunday, October 1 and coincides with systemwide changes.
Beginning Tuesday, September 26, VVTA NTC Commuter routes will begin serving Cactus Corner Child Development Center and the new Weed Army Community Hospital at the National Training Center in Fort Irwin.
VVTA will adjust systemwide fares October 1, 2017, which will align Victor Valley and Barstow fare structures, simplifying passenger travel between both areas. The adjustment will reduce the fare on some services, whereas on other services it may rise. While other transit agencies produce fare increases every two years, VVTA strives for consistency and has not adjusted fares in 10 years. VVTA remains the best value for its level of service, featuring some of the lowest fares in Southern California.
Due to the Labor Day holiday, there will be no Victor Valley Transit Authority services available Monday, September 4, 2017. This includes VVTA transit, administration, customer service, operations, and routing and scheduling services.

Effective immediately, the VVTA bus stop (30139) at Barstow Walmart has been permanently relocated approximately 500 feet north of its original location on Montara Road. The new bus stop is now north of the Armory Road intersection and will feature a temporary bus stop sign until new construction is completed. The bus stop relocation affects VVTA Route 1 and NTC Commuter Routes 101A, 102A, 106A, 101B, 104B and 105B passengers.
