Victor Valley Transit Authority services will not operate for the Memorial Day national holiday on Monday, May 29. All transit and administrative services will not be available during this time.
Due to a landscape improvement project, Victorville Transportation Center parking access will be limited from Thursday, May 18 through June 2017. Additional parking will be available east of the Greyhound building at the Amtrak parking lot. This will not affect VVTA transportation services.

Beginning Monday, April 10, 2017, due to construction and until further notice, VVTA Route 22 will only serve the Victorville Transportation Center upon request. Please call (760) 948-3030 to request to be picked up at the Transportation center at least 30 minutes in advance. If you are on the bus, you may make the request to the operator.
Passengers using VVTA-issued Veteran, Senior, Disabled, Medicare, Student, and Direct Access discount ID cards will require replacement by the newly-designed VVTA Photo ID Cards, beginning Saturday, July 1, 2017. The old VVTA ID cards will become obsolete at that time.
VVTA will require valid photo identification for all passengers requesting discount fare, beginning Saturday, July 1, 2017. VVTA passenger ID cards that do not feature photo identification will become obsolete at that time. Valid government- or school-issued photo IDs will continue to be accepted for discount fare. Excludes VVC Ram Pass.
Due to construction, Metrolink service at the San Bernardino and Rialto stations will not be available until Monday, April 17, 2017. VVTA Route 15 passengers connecting to Metrolink at the San Bernardino station may use the Metrolink bus shuttle to the Fontana station to board the Metrolink train. Passengers may board the shuttle on Metrolink Way just before 3rd Street. Alternatively, VVTA Route 15 passengers may continue to the Fontana station to connect to the Metrolink train. Victor Valley Transit Authority will require new photo identification cards for all passengers using discount passes, including Veteran, Senior, Disabled, Medicare, Student, and Direct Access, beginning Saturday, July 1, 2017. Current passenger ID cards will become obsolete at that time. Current discount pass holders may begin replacing their existing IDs on Monday, April 3, 2017. There is no replacement charge for upgrading to a new photo ID card. Passengers may begin the replacement process online at VVTA.org/pass or via email at Info@VVTA.org.
Effective July 1, 2017, all passengers using Barstow Direct Access paratransit service will require ADA certification. An ADA certification card and government-issued identification will be required when boarding. This requirement matches the entire VVTA System service policy. To begin the four- to six-week ADA eligibility certification process and obtain an ADA certification card, passengers must submit an application at ADARide.com or call 1-877-ADA-RIDE. Fixed Route Senior Disabled Medicare (SDM) identification does not qualify for use of ADA Direct Access service. Complementary to fixed route bus service, VVTA offers curb-to-curb paratransit bus service to individuals who meet Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) requirements and are certified. The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) ensures that persons with disabilities receive comparable mass transportation service opportunities everyone else receives. For those who have received ADA certification, VVTA Direct Access provides paratransit services as an alternative to its more affordable bus services.
Effective immediately, the VVTA Route 23 bus stop located in front of Lucerne Valley Market is relocated to the southeast end of the parking lot near Highway 18. The bus is rerouted to the market from Barstow Road, turning left on Highway 18, and left into the Lucerne Valley parking lot bus stop. The new stop features an upgraded bench.
Due to the Adelanto Christmas Parade road closure, VVTA Route 31 will detour from beginning of service to 1 p.m., Saturday, December 10, 2016. During this time, the following bus stops will not be serviced: the stop (10118) on Seneca Road at Bellflower Street; the stop (10119) on Seneca Road at Lilac Road; the stop (10126) on Verbena Road at Villa Street.
Due to the Christmas on Route 66 Holiday Street Fair in Barstow, VVTA Routes 1, 3, and NTC Commuter Routes 101B, 104B, and 106B will detour from 3 p.m. to end of service on Friday, December 2, 2016. During this time, the following bus stops will not be serviced: the stop (30053) on northbound 2nd Avenue at Cozy Avenue; the stop (30054) on southbound 2nd Avenue at Cozy Avenue; the stop (30093) on westbound Main Street at 6th Avenue.
Due to the Victorville Christmas Parade, VVTA Routes 22, 41, and 55 will detour on Saturday, December 3, 2016 from beginning of service to 1 p.m. During this time, the following bus stops will not be serviced: stops on 7th Street between B Street and La Paz Drive; the stop on Valley Center Drive at La Paz Drive; the Route 55 stop at La Paz Drive at Seneca Road.
VVTA Barstow paratransit one-trip transfers are available from drivers upon request, when paying cash fare. When paratransit passengers are transferring from a paratransit vehicle to a county route, passengers must pay paratransit fare on the paratransit vehicle and will transfer onto a county route vehicle at no additional charge. When paratransit passengers are transferring from a county route vehicle to a paratransit vehicle, passengers must pay paratransit fare on the county route vehicle and then transfer onto paratransit vehicle at no additional charge. Paratransit passenger transfers to or from fixed routes do not apply, since paratransit serves the Barstow city limits.
Passengers boarding County Routes 4 or 5, who pay the cash fare or use a 10 Trip Ticket, can request a single trip transfer from the driver to use on any of the routes 1 through 5 (except the route they originally boarded). Transfers are only valid for 2 hours from time of issuance. Passengers boarding Routes 1, 2, or 3 who pay the cash fare or use a 10 Trip Ticket must pay the difference, when transferring to County Routes 4 or 5. Transfers are only valid for 2 hours from time of issuance.
